Implantable Contact Lens (ICL)

EVO Visian ICL is a soft, flexible lens that is gently inserted and positioned in your eye behind the iris (coloured part of the eye) and in front of your natural lens, making it undetectable to any observers. The procedure is completely painless.

An ICL is made from Collamer, which is a biocompatible material. It is a combination of collagen and polymer. This does not cause any side effects or discomfort.

Unlike other procedures, the EVO Visian implantable contact lens procedure does not remove corneal tissue but works in harmony with your natural eyes to provide exceptional quality of vision, allowing you to see the world around you in crystal clear clarity.

How the ICL Procedure Works?

Your ophthalmologist will make small incision at the very edge of your cornea. The ICL, which is flexible, is folded up and inserted through this tiny opening and placed behind your iris, where it gently unfolds and remains stable for long-term vision correction. The ICL is customised to your specific visual requirements and can correct short-sightedness, long sightedness and astigmatism.
